- Linda encouraged her students to tell her about the real life issues they faced, which became the storylines for the show
- When the show began to come alive, kids were cast as kids. The young cast kept the script honest and on point.

- The audience of Degrassi is bigger than ever. Fans of the show continue to rewatch episodes and the younger generation has taken to streaming episodes through various online platforms
